Odyssey Pictures Partners with ARTE/Le Miroir /DPM on ?Vauban?

Odyssey Pictures Corporation (OPIX: OTCQB) (Odyssey), a media and entertainment company. has confirmed a co-production agreement with ARTE Le Miroir and DPM Inc. on ?Vauban?, a 90-minute film biography of the great 17th century military engineer.


Arte (Association Relative ? la T?l?vision Europ?enne) is a Franco-German TV network and one of Europe?s most prestigious sources for arts and cultural programming. Le Miroir produces documentary films for international markets. DPM provides worldwide distribution and licensing of entertainment and educational content.


In the co-production deal, Odyssey will finance part of the production budget and acquire all international distribution rights for ?Vauban,? excluding France and Germany. The Odyssey/Arte joint project, ?Vauban?, is based on the life of S?bastien Le Prestre mar?chal de Vauban, known as being one of the greatest military engineers in history and King Louis XIV?s, principal fortress builder and siege planner. ?Vauban? is due to be completed in February of 2011 and will be distributed through international TV, DVD and IPTV markets. The film is directed by noted French filmmaker, Pascal Cuissot, who has directed numerous docu-fiction works with Arte, including ?E=MC2,? ?Expedition to the Abyss,? and ?Leaving/Coming Back?. He was also a prot?g? of famed political filmmaker Costa-Gavras.
