wvdial: how can I wirte the challenge response when it's asking?

Hi Ladies and Gentlemen,
I have a little problem when I tried to use wvidal to connect to modem access. Every time I try to connect, Wvdial asks the "login" and it sends the user, but I have to write the challenge response. The problem is that it doesn't allow me to write it.
